By downloading, accessing, or using the Melos mobile application (the "Application" or "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
Melos provides a platform for users to learn languages through music. This includes features such as interactive lyrics, song breakdowns, quizzes, and the ability to create and manage personal playlists and track learning progress.
The musical compositions and associated educational content within the Service are generated using artificial intelligence technologies to create a unique learning experience.
To access certain features of the Application, you may be required to create an account. You can register using an email address and One-Time Password (OTP), or through third-party services such as Google or Apple Sign-In.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activities or actions that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
Certain features of the Service may be available only through a paid subscription ("Melos Pro").

The Service and its original content (excluding User-Generated Content as defined below), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Melos and its licensors. The Application is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
The musical compositions, sound recordings, and lyrics provided through the Service are generated by Melos and are protected by copyright. They are made available for your personal, non-commercial, educational use within the Application.
If you create content within the Application, such as naming playlists, providing descriptions, or submitting feedback (including text and images) ("User-Generated Content"), you retain ownership of such content. However, by providing User-Generated Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you create and ensure that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
Our Service relies on third-party services, including but not limited to Supabase (for backend infrastructure), RevenueCat and Superwall (for subscriptions), Mixpanel (for product analytics), OneSignal (for push notifications), Google Sign-In, and Apple Sign-In. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including but not a breach of the Terms.
If you wish to terminate your account, you can do so at any time by using the "Delete Account" feature within the Application's Profile screen. This action is irreversible and will result in the deletion of your account and associated data.
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Melos makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
Content Disclaimer: The content within the Service, including all music, lyrics, and language translations, is generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and quality, we make no warranty or guarantee as to the factual, linguistic, or musical accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the content. You acknowledge that the content is for educational and entertainment purposes only and should not be relied upon as a sole source for language learning. You agree to use the content at your own risk.
In no event shall Melos, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Melos and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of a) your use and access of the Service, by you or any person using your account and password, or b) a breach of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction, e.g., "the State of California, United States"], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Service.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.
